ABSU calls 12-hour rail blockade on October 24

KOKRAJHAR, Oct 13 - The All Bodo Student’s Union (ABSU) along with the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Progressive) and the People’s Joint Action Committee for Bodoland Movement (PJACBM) has jointly called a 12-hour railway blockade on October 24 next in demand of a separate Bodoland State and political rights to the Bodos living outside the proposed Bodoland.

The railway blockade programme will be held at Basugaon Railway Station and Udalguri Railway Station, ABSU general secretary Lorence Islary informed. The ABSU leader also expressed his resentment towards the Central government for its unwillingness to solve the long-pending demand for a separate Bodoland State
