National Park and Wildlife Sanctuaries you don't know that Exist in MyBodoland
Since from the time of British Power in India Great Britishers have been collecting lots of goods and necessary things from India. Research and Exploration made them reach here in the forest area too. Till then lots of proper information have been acquired and today some of the reserved forests have even made Sanctuaries as well. According to the report of Assam Department of Environment and Forest have Five National Parks and Twentyone Wildlife Sanctuaries some of which are proposed wildlife sanctuaries as well.
Out of 5 National Park and 21 Sanctuaries myBodoland has got about 3/10 of the total forest covered area.

1. Manas National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary
Manas National Park or Manas Wildlife Sanctuary is a national park, UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, a Project Tiger reserve, an elephant reserve and a biosphere reserve in Bodoland with 500 square KM. Located in the Himalayan foothills, it is contiguous with the Royal Manas National Park in Bhutan. The park is known for its rare and endangered endemic wildlife such as the Assam roofed turtle, hispid hare, golden langur and pygmy hog. Manas is famous for its population of the wild water buffalo.
2. Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary
The Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most popular wildlife dens in Assam. Situated in the Kokrajhar and Dhubri districts of Assam, this wildlife sanctuary spreads over an area of 45.568 km2 on the Chakrashila Hills. The sanctuary was declared as a reserve forest in 1966 and in 1994 it was recognized by the state government as a wildlife sanctuary. Encompassing the Beel and Diplai Beel Lakes this wildlife sanctuary offers a host of wildlife attractions like Golden Langur, Indian Flying Fox, Indian False Vampire,
Indian Pipistrelle, Rhesus Macaque, Short-tailed Mole, Chinese Pangolin, Short Nosed Fruit Bat, Asiatic Jackal and Bengal Fox and Hornbills. Also the sanctuary happens to be the second protected home of the endangered Golden Langur.
3. Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park
The oldest game reserve of Bodoland just on the northern bank of river Brahmaputra with an area of 78.80 sq. kms. and an important breeding ground for varieties of Fishes. It was established as a sanctuary in 1985 and declared a national park on 13 April 1999. It is also known as the mini Kaziranga National Park (IUCN site) since the two parks have a similar landscape made up of marshes, streams and grasslands. The park has a rich flora and fauna, including great Indian one-horned rhinoceros, pigmy hog, elephants, wild buffalo and tigers. It is the only stronghold of rhinoceros on the north bank of the Brahmaputra river
